playing eight operatic and music hall airs including Pinafore, single-spring motor and massive intermediate great drive wheel, single-section comb, internal start/stop, auto-change and tune selector all in nickel-plated finish, on reeded cast gilt bedplate with now absent and unknown feature once mounted across the front soundboard insert, in ebonised interior under dustlid, period tunesheet, in part noir-grained case with the dome lid bearing large inlaid scene of country folk dancing with ribbons of floral swags, framed by rococo C scrolls in various stained fruitwoods, the rosewood veneered ground bordered by kingwood crossbanding and boxwood stringing, repeated to the front, side carrying handles - 28in. (71cm) wide, the cylinder 11in. (28cm)
