An electric double monkey card-player automaton, by Fife Engineering Ltd.,

with the two seated monkeys dressed in full smoking jackets, lace cravats and shirts, each with painted papier-maché heads and hands, moving eyes, heads and raising hands alternately on long automaton sequence, one with wine glass, the other with magnifying glass and both with a hand of cards during a game of gin-rummy, two bottles and the top and pit card piles on the dark grained wood refectory table between, on full matching red velvet covered mechanism base with double gold braid detail, mounted on polished oak baseboard, under rectangular glass cover - 26in. (66cm) wide, the glass cover 22in. (56cm) high
