An unused near-mint 200-series red bakelite telephone,
impressed mark 164 56, with exchange list drawer, original packing paper still tied around the braided wall and receiver cords.
The condition of this telephone really is remarkable.
The braids between receiver and base and from base to wall point, are still wrapped up in the brown parcel paper and string from the factory. The hoop connection terminals show no signs of compression from junction box fitting and as such, this is being treated as a telephone never connected to the line.
The following lot in green, although not proved unused, is also in staggeringly excellent condition.
