No. 45158, playing eight dance and folk airs, single-spring motor and mandoline teeth in groups of up to six across 2/3rds of the double-section stamped comb, on plain brass bedplate in stained interior with retailer's transfer Alfred Hays, 4 Royal Exchange Buildings & 82 Cornhill, under glass dustlid, brass control board, crossbanded beech panel lid interior lacking tunesheet, in rosewood veneered case with front and lid inlaid with quivers, ribbon ring, bow and floral swags in various stained fruitwoods, petit crossbanded edge in kingwood, repeated to the sides with boxwood, slight-canted corners and moulded ebonised edges - 29in. (74cm) wide, the cylinder 17.3/8in (44cm)
