An 80-Bore Breech-Loading Air Gun And Rifle
Unsigned But Probably By Thomas Conway Of Manchester, Circa 1830
With rebrowned two-stage turn-off twist sighted polygroove rifled barrel threaded at the octagonal breech, foliate scroll engraved action with engraved sprung cocking-lever working against an external spring (probably replaced) on the left side, sprung external trigger, and circular loading aperture with transversal breech-block operated by a sprung tap on the right side, foliate scroll engraved trigger-guard, and associated leather-covered butt reservoir; together with its sighted smooth-bore barrel en suite, an iron bullet mould and modern pump (4)
