Flag-safety, rotary-magazine, the left side of the receiver stamped Steyr 1906, cocking-piece with folding peep-sight, sighted for 100, 200 and 300 yards, well-figured stock with semi-pistolgrip and wood extension, sling-eyes, the barrel with open-sights, sighted for 100, 200 and 300 yards, and block-mounted bead-foresight

    Previously the property of George Richard Lawley Gibbs, 2nd Baron Wraxall (1928-2001)
    The elder of two sons from his father's second marriage, and godson of Queen Mary of Teck, he succeeded his father, the Conservative politician George Abraham Gibbs, to the title at the age of three. He served in the Coldstream Guards and the local Yeomanry regiment. Upon his death, aged 73, the title passed to his younger brother. The family home, Tyntesfield in Somerset, was purchased by the National Trust in 2002 from his executors.
