Footnotes

  • The present lot is a complete portfolio of twenty prints hand-printed by the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town between 1951 and 1953. While originally intended to be a limited edition of 100 for each print, the works by Katrine Harries and Rupert Shepard were produced in smaller runs of 66 and 50 respectively.
