The eight-plate russet iron bowl of elegant shape, the front three plates extending forward to form a peak below which is a brow plate embossed with eyebrows and wrinkles, the surface of the plates covered with rows of koboshi, the raised suji and edge of the peak covered by gilt-copper fukurin, gilt-metal closed crescent moon maedate fitted to the front of the bowl, the gold-lacquered six-lame ita mono Hineno jikoro trimmed with "roped" edges and laced in dark blue sugake odoshi; with wood storage box

With a Tokubetusu Kicho certificate issued by the Nihon Bugu Katchu Kenkyu Hozan Kai (Society for the preservation of Japanese armor) no. 206, issued 1974.2.24
