A good late 17th century miniature striking lantern clock with alarm

Surmounted by a tall turned finial over a strapped bell, and four smaller finials between pierced and engraved brass dolphin frets, the finials cast in one piece with the tapering columns terminating in a squat foot, the 3.5 inch diameter silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals and trident half hour marks on an inner quarter hour track, the engraved centre signed below XII 'Joseph Knibb, Londini' with silvered Arabic alarm-setting dial and single blued steel hand, the weight driven movement with knife-edge verge escapement with countwheel strike and sounding the alarm with a double ended hammer 19cms (7.5ins) high.
