A mid 18th century quarter repeating ebonised bracket clock of small size
The inverted bell top surmounted by a knopped silvered handle over later silver mounted glazed panels, pierced side frets and quadrants, the 4.75 inch Roman and Arabic break arch dial with crown and sceptre spandrels, the matted centre with mock pendulum aperture signed "Fromanteel", with strike/silent, regulation subsidiary dials and calendar aperture on a foliate scroll engraved ground to the arch, the twin train fusee movement with verge escapement, rise and fall regulation, quarter repeating on six bells and striking on a seventh, the back plate engraved with foliate scrolls centered on a dove. 35.5cm (14in)
