Footnotes

  • The so called 'Jochen Rindt Autavia' was named after the Austrian Formula 1 driver, who was World Champion in 1970. This particular watch is important as Heuer merged with Leonidas in the autumn of 1964 and only a few watches with ED Heuer & Co and Heuer Leonidas signature were produced during this transitional period. The second Autavia model has smaller white sub dials. This example has a wonderful matching patina, and an unpolished case making this watch a real collector's piece.
