Gilt brass full plate movement spaced by four square baluster pillars, balance cock and side plate decorated with ornately pierced and engraved detail of acanthus leaf scrolling with diamond end stone, three arm balance with knife edge crossing, verge escapement and fusee, gilt brass dust cap signed and numbered, white enamel dial with black Roman numerals bordered by minute track and outer Arabic divisions at five minute intervals, blue steel beetle and poker hands (poker now absent), outer repousse plain inner case with maker's mark possibly RP or Richard Palmer
