Number 140, Hallmarked London, circa 1695
Full plate gilt brass movement, the balance cock and side plate pierced and engraved with conforming acanthus leaf scrolling and grotesque, silver Arabic regulation, raised above four Egyptian pillars, inside top plate stamped R.M between the tail of the retaining spring and potence, gold champeleve dial with black inlaid Roman numerals bordered by Arabic divisions at five minute intervals, central signature supported by the Royal Lion and Unicorn standards, blue steel beetle and poker hands, high dome soda glass, inner plain case with indistinct hallmarks and maker's mark EE of Edward East, outer associated case marked EF, dial, case and movement signed
