Footnotes

  • VERY SCARCE IMPRINT. The last imprint of Speed's Bermuda listed in the Map Collectors' Circle (no.19, pp.7-8) is that published by Bassett and Chiswell in 1676. However, Shirley notes that Christopher Browne reprinted and issued separately a map of Virginia after the final printing of Speed's Prospect in 1676.
