  • A rare early vampire classic: only three copies are recorded as having sold at auction since 1975. This collection of five of Sheridan Le Fanu's Gothic novellas, published the year before his death, includes two of his most famous stories, Green Tea and Carmilla. The latter tells the story of a young woman's susceptibility to the attentions of a female vampire and greatly influenced Bram Stoker in the writing of Dracula. It also served as the basis for numerous films including Carl Theodor Dreyer's Vampyr (1932).
