Four carved 'silhouette' agate snuff bottles
1780-1880
Each of well-hollowed flattened form, with slightly concave mouth and oval foot surrounded by short foot ring, variously carved through the darker brown and honey inclusions to depict a monkey and peach; Liu Hai and the three-legged toad; a tiger; and a bat in flight, the stones of varying greyish-beige and caramel tones, stoppers.
The largest 6.3cm (2½in) high (6).
