A pair of reticulated ivory vases
19th century
The baluster bodies each of hexagonal form rising from a splayed circular foot carved with open-work scrolls, and rising to straight cylindrical neck and wide everted rim, intricately carved around the sides with roundels enclosing figures on grounds of further figures within landscapes, the necks flanked by two openwork scroll handles, the everted rim with chrysanthemum roundels on a diaper ground, box.
