A pair of carved cinnabar lacquer 'boys at play' bottle vases

Each with a bulbous body with high shoulders surmounted by a tall neck, supported on a short foot ring, deeply carved with various scenes of boys at play in a mountainous rocky river landscape amidst wutong, pine and willow trees, framed between a ruyi-head border and lotus petal panels, the shoulders with a leafy lotus scroll, all between key-fret borders, the neck with a lotus scroll framed by leiwen diaper ground and upright and inverted overlapping lappets, the base with apocryphal Jiajing six-character marks.
