An unusual Guan-type tripod bowl
Probably 18th century
Formed as a simple bowl imitating natural rootwood with two twig handles rising from the rim and standing on three short irregular feet, the body unusually modelled with a number of hollow bosses and covered in a thick pale bluish-green glaze pooling in some of the apertures and widely crackled overall in imitation of the Song Dynasty propotype glaze.
