Each enamelled at the centre with the arms of Drummond, the part service comprising: a tureen and cover lid; thirty dinner plates; twenty-nine soup bowls; an oval vegetable dish and a cover; two circular bowls; and eight oval dishes of five different sizes. (71).


  • The arms are identified as those of Drummond of London. See D.S.Howard, Chinese Armorial Porcelain, Vol.II, London, 1974, p.757, fig.W6, where it is noted that a part dinner service of thirty-eight pieces bearing these arms was sold at Sotheby's London, 15 February 1953.
