A famille rose turquoise-ground vase
Jiaqing seal mark and of the period
Of baluster form, rising from a recessed splayed base, to a short and straight cylindrical neck, vibrantly enamelled around the sides in tones of pink, green, blue, green and yellow, with a profusion of bats amidst and within scrolling leafy lotus tendrils bearing large blooming flowers, all on a turquoise ground, bordered below by a border of upright lappets, with a band of ruyi-heads and pendent blooms at the shoulder, the neck with a key-fret scroll in blue enamel, the seal mark in underglaze blue on a turquoise ground.
