Yongzheng six-character mark and of the period
Finely enamelled at the centre with a circular medallion enclosing an iron-red flower borne on a leafy stem issuing dense scrolling tendrils, the underside similarly painted with alternating red and green-enamelled flowers against a dense ground of scolling tendrils, above a band of multi-coloured ruyi heads at the foot, fitted box, 16.1cm (6¼in) diam.; together with a doucai dish, enamelled with a pair of mandarin ducks within a lotus pond, enclosed by a border of lanca characters at the rim, the underside similarly painted, with apocryphal Chenghua mark, 20.6cm (8in) diam.
