The God of Longevity, carved with a prominent cranium, holding in one hand a gnarled staff with a double gourd tied to its finial and in the other a peach, looking down, wearing a flowing robe tied with a ribbon, with his shoes protruding underneath, the stone of pale green tone with russet inclusions, 17th century, wood stand, 10cm (4in) high; together with a carving of two boys, with the older boy holding a lotus sprig over his shoulders and a pearl, and the younger holding a bird, the stone of white tone, 17th/18th century, wood stand, 5.4cm (2⅛in) high

    The carving of the two boys is a pun on liansheng guizi 'may you continuously give birth to distinguished sons'.
