A rare yellow jade snuff bottle
1750-1850
Of flattened pear-shaped form rising from a straight oval foot, the stone worked in low relief to one side with a scholar standing beneath a gnarled pine tree, and to the other with a bat in flight by a waterfall with lingzhi fungus growing from rockwork, the stone of a greenish-yellow tone with russet skin, with coral stopper and turquoise collar.
