A gilt-bronze figure of Vajrapani
18th/19th century
The deity standing atop two demons on a lotus-petal base, holding vajra in his raised right hand and a ghanta in his left, his ferocious face surmounted by fire-scroll hair and diadem, wearing a tigerskin dhoti and celestial scarf, with a long snake draped around his neck, his jewellery inlaid with turquoise and carnelian, with remnants of pigments to his face.
