A gilt-bronze figure of Sakyamuni Buddha
17th/18th century
The deity seated in dhyanasana, his right hand stretched down in bhumisparsha mudra and left held in avakasha mudra, the tight hair in pointed knots, the pendulous earlobes flanking the face with eyes downcast, set in a contemplative expression, wearing long flowing robes open to reveal the bare chest, the beaded hems decorated with floral scrolls.
