A gilt-bronze inlaid Bodhisattva
17th/18th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a waisted double-lotus throne, his right hand stretched down in bhumisparsha mudra and the left hand in avakasha mudra, with pendulous earlobes and tight curls rising to the usnisha, wearing monastic robes draped over the left shoulder, the hems with beaded and lightly-incised floral scrolls, the face with eyes downcast in deep contemplation.
