A large bronze tripod incense burner
17th/18th century
Raised on three short angled feet, the bombé sides cast in high relief on each side with a phoenix in flight and a writhing dragon and flaming pearl, both amidst cloud scrolls, the flattened cover surmounted by high arched chilong handles, the base cast with four-character hallmark Qing Tong Xuan Zhi, 'made in the paulownia studio'.
