A gold lacquer tachi-kake (sword stand)
Edo Period, 19th century
Of similar form to the preceding lot, bearing a rich nashiji ground and inlaid with a white eagle perched on a flowering prunus branch while two small birds fly above, in raden, boxwood, coloured horn and other materials, the reishi shaped finial with similar inlay and the two parts joined by a silver band carved with karakusa, unsigned; with wood storage box.
