Arabic manuscripts on paper, 22 leaves in each section, 9 lines to the page written in clear naskhi script in black ink with diacritics and vowel points in black, gold roundels decorated with red and blue dots between verses, inner margins ruled in gold, catchwords written diagonally in wide outer borders, the word ashar written in naskhi in red in outer margins indicating every tenth verse, illuminated headpieces in colours and gold, some staining and repairs mostly restricted to outer margins, colophons written in naskhi script in red ink added at a later date, contemporary brown morocco, covers and flaps with stamped medallions and borders painted with gold, doublures of purple paper decorated with floral patterns in gold, worn, rebacked
