Persian manuscript on paper, 208 leaves, 17 lines to the page written in two columns of elegant nasta'liq script in black ink, and approximately 38 lines written horizontally in the outer borders of each page, interlinear gilt decoration throughout, inner margins ruled in blue, black and gold, illuminated cornerpieces decorated with floral sprays, catchwords, one illuminated headpiece in colours and gold, floral lacquer binding decorated with wild roses, carnations, narcissi and bluebells on a black ground, some defects to edges and spine, doublures with central medallions containing similar flowers to those on the covers on a red ground decorated with gilt floral and vegetal motifs
