A Qajar enamelled copper Ghalian
Persia, 19th Century
comprising a balloon-shaped bottle enamelled in polychrome with oval medallions containing courtly female and male portraits, flanked by vegetal motifs, the horizontal sections divided by narrow bands of inscriptions in nastal'iq, the central section with oval recesses engraved with figures, surmounted by a cylindrical tapering pipe with a flared cup seated on the top enamelled with medallions containg portraits, the set on a brass tripod stand
