Arabic manuscript on paper, 195 leaves, 35 lines to the page written in small disciplined maghribi script in black ink, words and letters picked out in red, burgundy, blue and yellow, headings picked out in gold, inner margins ruled in blue, red and gold, illuminated headpiece incorporating the bismallah in gold preceded by an illuminated panel incorporating the title and author written in gold on a ground decorated with intertwining vegetal motifs in white on a blue ground, borders decorated with a geometric motif in gold, with an illuminated palmette extending into outer border, colophon incorporated into an illuminated panel in colours and gold similar to decoration of the title-page, some crude repairs, contemporary red morocco with stamped central medallions of leather onlay, stained, crudely repaired, rebacked
