Arabic manuscript on paper, 293 leaves, 35 lines to the page written in naskhi script in black ink, significant words and headings picked out in burgundy, blue and gold, inner margins ruled in red, catchwords in wide borders, occasional annotations written diagonally in naskhi script in margins, two illuminated headpieces incorporating the phrases juz al-thani and juz al-Rabi' written in white on gold ground, the title and date incorporated within an illuminated roundel on verso of last leaf, rather browned, edges frayed, some staining, later brown morocco with stamped central medallions of gilt leather onlay, worn, rebacked, with flap
