A gold, enamel and gem-set Holbeinesque pendant, circa 1875
Of oval form, the central cushion-shaped sapphire within an openwork quatrefoil border decorated with old brilliant-cut diamonds, four bouton pearls, and red and green enamel foliate motifs, within a further green enamel border and scalloped frame of old brilliant and rose-cut diamonds and cushion-shaped rubies, suspending a detachable old brilliant-cut diamond, enamel and pearl drop, pearls untested for natural origin, pendant length 7.4cm.
