    Captain Tupper served in the Crimea from 1854 to 1856, where he took part in the battle of Balaklava, the repulse of the sortie on the 26th October 1854, was slightly wounded at Inkerman (November 5th 1854), and took part in the Siege and Fall of Sebastopol.
