A bone prisoner of war ship model
The hull of pinned bone planks over a timber core, with carved figurehead, bow and stern decoration, and turned bone cannon run out under raised port lids. Bone spars with detailed running and standing rigging. Other details include anchors, ship's boats, painted ensign. Mounted on turned posts on an oval bone and timber parquetry base with supporting tackles, in a glazed period display case. 13x9x10in (33.5x48x26cm)
