A massive scrimshawed whale's tooth, English, mid 19th century,
observe depicting a whaler with scene of cutting in a whale and large section or "blanket piece" of blubber being hoisted aloft, the reverse with a number of flagged whales and a long boat flanked by columns and union flags. Weight 1400 gms. 7.5in (19cm) long.
