A Meissen jug and associated cover

With a double-scroll handle and shell- and scroll-moulded spout edged in gilding, painted in Kakiemon style with scattered sprigs of chrysanthemums, pomegranates, banded hedges and flowers, the conical cover with two flower sprigs, 18.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, V in brown, inventory number P.E. 5101 in red (small chip to footrim, finial of cover broken off with associated haircrack) (2)
