A Victorian silver and electroplated matched six piece epergne suite,
by Frederick Elkington, Birmingham 1879-88, also incuse stamped "Elkington & Co.",
comprising; an epergne, shaped oval form with bead upper border above palmette and leaf motifs, fluted oval knop, trifurcated scroll supports with flower head motifs and palmette and shell decoration, each end with a model of a swan, engraved "Bydd gyfiawn ac nac ofria" above presentation inscription, decorative embossed border on four scroll, flower head and shell bracket feet, cut glass dish, height 26cm, length 48cm, an electroplated mirror plateau, trefoil form with stiff leaf border with scroll and honeysuckle motifs, wooden base, length 32cm, a pair of silver tazze, bead borders, tapering bead stem, triangular knop with palmette motifs on a matted surface above three sea-griffin mounts, on a shaped trefoil base with scroll and shell motifs on three stepped feet, presentation inscription, one glass dish, height 20cm and a smaller pair of silver tazze, bead border above beaded knop stem on a trefoil base with embossed scroll panels, shell and scroll motifs on three stepped feet, presentation inscription, two glass dishes, height 12.5cm, weight 185oz.
