North Africa, dated AH 1126/ AD 1714-15
with facetted steel barrel, clasped to the forestock with four silver repousse bands with floral decoration, the forestock carved and set with corals, small silver plaques and wire, the silver decoration consisting of arabesques and medallions, the intersections inlaid with large alternating tear-shaped and circular corals, the butt inlaid with a band of circular corals on a narrow sheet of gilt-metal, the steel lock plate overlaid with silver depicting leafy vines and floral decoration, inscribed below
