- The present lot is unrecorded in the Gio Ponti archives. Its form and dimensions are consistent with Ponti's copper enamel fronted 'Market' cabinet of 1942, produced in collaboration with Paolo di Poli, and illustrated by Mario Universo, 'Gio Ponti Designer', p.85.
