Comprising nineteen cold-painted and varnished creamware oval medallions with portraits of illustrious Greeks and Romans and Eastern kings, some with incised titles including 'Otho', 'Augustus', 'Dometia','Caius' and 'Miltiades', 5.2cm and 13cm high, impressed Wedgwood, one incised 'July 18 1797' (two broken and restuck, some loss to paintwork, frame of a later date) (20)
