the first signed 'HELEN BRADLEY' and with fly insignia (lower right), further signed, inscribed and dated ''It was only an April Shower'/just a few gentle drops of rain/but Miss Carter (who wore pink) and/Mr Taylor (The Bank Manager) set off/quickly for home, "Why," said/Mother, "they're both almost running/and the sun's shining over Lees, it's only a very small April shower/nevermind them, we'll continue/our walk" and the year was 1907/HELEN LAYFIELD BRADLEY 1975.' (on a label attached to the backboard); the second signed 'HELEN BRADLEY' and with fly insignia (lower left), further signed, inscribed and dated ''It was only an April Shower'/but Miss Carter (who wore pink)/said, "Oh dear, it's raining", and/Mr Taylor (The Bank Manager) quickly/opened his umbrella and held it/over her. But she picked up her/skirts and started to walk out of/the Park towards home, Mr Taylor/following, for, he too disliked rain/and the year was 1907/HELEN LAYFIELD BRADLEY 1975.'(on a label attached to the backboard)
