Although coined in a large mintage of 315,000 pieces, the vast majority of these disappeared long ago. A mere handful exist in high grades, and perhaps 100 or so as nice as the present example. This one has nice surfaces with a few scattered nicks and scuffs, but Liberty's cheek is well above average from that often seen. Unusually well defined for this often bluntly struck issue. Seldom found this nice and quite difficult to locate finer. (PCGS 8905) About Uncirculated or better.
