The circular top within a cast foliate border and raised on scroll fluted legs headed by caryatids ending in paw feet joined by an inswept square platform centered by an ovoid urn ending in brass bun feet, figural mount reverse inscribed Z.J.

  • Jean-Henri Jansen (1854-1928) founded the celebrated design firm Maison Jansen in 1880. Soon after, Jansen bought the Joseph-Emmanuel Zwiener archives and rights, incorporating the established firm into Maison Jansen, renaming it Zwiener Jansen Successeur, marking the subsequent bronze mounts with ZJ.
