An unusual pair of chestnut glazed pottery models of oxen
The oxen standing at rest with their hooves attached to a low plinth and their heads turned slightly forward, their eyes picked out in black and colorless enamel while the remaining surfaces display a chestnut glaze; the rectangular stands of Ming date, their recessed waists molded in relief with panels of flower heads and ribboned Daoist symbols picked out in blue-green against the ocher ground (chips, repaired).
