Footnotes

  • Introduced in 1962 with serial number 119000, the Reference 3448 with 27-460 Q perpetual calendar movement was in production until 1981. Less than 600 examples were made. This limited series of watches continued the Patek Philippe tradition of complicated watches, begun in the previous century.

This is apparently the second Cartier / Patek Philippe 3448 to appear at auction. The consecutively numbered example 1119087 / 320312 was sold 5 march 2009.
