  • Henry Negretti formed a partnership with Joseph Zambra in 1850 and thereby founded the famous firm of Negretti & Zambra which would eventually be appointed optical instrument makers to Prince Albert, the Royal Observatory and the British Admiralty. Instruments made by Henry alone prior to the partnership are extremely rare.
