Document Signed ("Samuel Adams") as Governor and Commander in Chief of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, partially printed and accomplished in manuscript, 1 p, oblong folio, June 16, 1794, appointing Hushai Thomas as Captain of a Company of Cavalry, countersigned by John Avery, with paper seal, docketed on verso, very mild spotting near folds, else fine, matted and framed to 20 by 23 inches.
